I’m a painter and printmaker who lives in the Phoenix area. It’s a place with quite a bit of dust, rocks and great sunsets. Colorful sunsets.
Most of my work reflects a bicultural perspective, which was shaped by the Arizona and Mexico region, as well as the people living in that region. My work speaks to the Mexicano, the Chicano, the Latino/Hispanic, and the Gavacho.
In a parallel universe, I’m a creative director who’s been in design and advertising for a long time.
Plus, I’m easily inspired.
Born in San Luis, R.C., Sonora, Mexico in 1958.
Grew up on the Colorado River Indian Tribes Reservation in Poston, near Parker, Arizona.
Resided there until 1977 before wandering off to college in Yuma (Arizona Western College) for a year prior to attending Arizona State University.
I’m proud to have been a student of the late Claude Thorn.
