¡Salud! A Sirena and her wine induced observations…

¡Salud! A Sirena and her wine induced observationsSmiling, she raised her glass to those who doubted she could ever be free.

Under her breath, she laughed at the drunken bavosos and their caprichos nuevos.

She heard them crow like roosters as she danced, shook hips and tail solo.

For with un poco de enchantment we all toast to health and the unchecked mind!

¡Salud!

About this Sirena:

For a recent exhibit “De Norte A Sur”, this was one of 3 sirenas carved by Luciano Garcia, my friend Gennaro Garcia’s father. This is the only 1 left. If you are interested in her for your collection, please feel free to contact me.

She is about 14” tall and is made of painted wood, she just happens to look huge in front of this saguaro.

Hearing voices is one thing, listening to them is an entirely different thing. Thanks for stopping in to take a look and take a read. Let me know if you have any questions or are interested in any of the work. And remember, only demons think in straight lines. Don’t be a demon.

¡HOLA!

Welcome to my writing & chingadera space! I’m a painter, printmaker, writer, a Nopalista, as well as a Chinga Dadaist. This blog is to my gallery site which contains my personal art. It’s different than my marketing and branding work life.

On another note, I used to run around w/ La Llorona until I got tired of all the drama she brought to the party. That woman was a total buzz kill. We avoid each other now.

My work…I like to work in series. Hence the Corazones, Sirenas, Angeles and other stuff. I like color and have often incorporated writing into my art. The majority of it starts in my journals/sketchbooks.

Why? Because only demons think in straight lines. ¡Salud!
